Now that 2016 is behind us it’s time to start planning that 2017 vacation in the Big Apple. After all this city isn’t all about New Years Eve, that’s just the start to exciting adventures in New York City. Lets take a look at some of the most adventurous and exciting things going on this year. After the ball dropped on New Years Eve to start the new year, a “re-set button” was hit, and new adventures await you.

If you have never been to the Big Apple before, hold onto your seat because visiting the most famous attractions will be a score for you this time. No matter what time of year, a stroll or horse and buggy ride through Central Park is always a wonderful experience. During the winter months, an evening ride, bundled up next to the one you love is quite pleasant.

Taking the ferryboat out to the Statue of Liberty is almost a mandatory experience for anyone. Climbing to the top and experiencing the city is breathtaking, and absolutely a camera experience. It’s also very educational to take the boat out to Ellis Island, and learn the history of this experience that brought so many immigrants to the U.S., both good and heartaches to so many.

They don’t call it “Sin City” for nothing, and after all, as you well know, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, right? Well, there are some new and awesome things happening in the New Year that you just might want to brag on after your vacation there.

Hang on to your hats everyone; we are announcing an update on the newest, and largest casino in Las Vegas! The brand new “Asian-themed” resort going by the name Resorts World Las Vegas is being built on the North part of the Vegas Strip.

It will be located across from what was once the greatest new resort, the Wynn Las Vegas, and will feature 3,500 hotel rooms, a 4,000-seat showroom and much more. The resort will be featuring the Asian Theme very heavily throughout. Look for this beauty to open sometime in 2019.

Hot tips for a dynamite Washington DC 2017 vacation

Ask just about anyone living in the Capitol and they will tell you that Spring is the best time to visit Washington, DC. For the best weather as well as “cherry blossom time”. Those that choose the summer find nothing but high heat and crowds of vacationers, long lines and no reservations. But we will leave that up to you and your boss, at work or home. I personally think that winter months are quite nice in D.C. because of all the decorations in the capitol and White House. You will need to pack for bundling up, with winter temps in the low 30’s on average, and summer temps in the high 80’s.

The fact is Washington DC offers so much free things to see and do that you really shouldn’t tax your wallet, unless of course you eat out at the best restaurants every night. Take for instance the free museums that offer something for everyone. You could spend a week just browsing through the seventeen free admission museums of the Smithsonian Institute. Many are located within walking distance on the National Mall, including the Air and Space (my favorite), Natural History, American History and more.
